The human brain is one of the most complex and fascinating subjects of study. In this interactive hybrid course, students will explore the fundamentals of psychology through a dynamic mix of online readings, live lectures, and hands-on lab activities. The curriculum includes thoughtfully designed lessons aligned with the seven TOPSS (Teachers of Psychology in Secondary Schools) domains:
- Scientific Inquiry
- Biopsychological
- Development and Learning
- Sociocultural Context
- Cognition
- Individual Variations
- Applications of Psychological Science
Students will develop a foundational understanding of human behavior, mental processes, and the science behind how we think, feel, and act. Classes meet twice a week: Tuesdays at 11:00 AM online and Fridays in person. This will count as a lab science credit
Prerequisites: Students should have basic knowledge of human anatomy & physiology & High School level maturity to discuss topics that can be occasionally heavy or complex. Please advise me of any food allergies!

Student provided supplies: To each in person class please bring: Notebook, folder or binder, writing utensil, and a pack of colored pencils. Occasional common items might need to be brought along to class.
