
Exploring Zoology
4th - 6th
In Exploring Zoology, students will discover the amazing world of animals while learning about different species, classifications, behaviors, characteristics, habitats, and more. Students will explore how animals live, adapt, and interact within the animal kingdom.
Throughout the year, students will learn basic research skills by studying specific animals, completing animal reports, and participating in 1–2 small research projects both in class and through occasional homework assignments.

Supply Fee Covers: This class fee is collected at the beginning of each semester (September and January) and covers all regular class materials. Additional fees for special project materials may occasionally be collected prior to those projects.
Student provided supplies: Students will need basic school supplies for this class, including a notebook, lined paper, homework folder, 3-ring binder, pencils, colored pencils, markers, crayons, scissors, and glue sticks (no liquid glue, please).
A few special projects throughout the year may also require students to bring additional materials from home. Parents will always be notified by email in advance if extra supplies are needed.
Pre-Requisites: Students must be in 4th–6th grade and have age-appropriate reading, writing, and cutting skills. Students will learn basic research and paragraph-writing skills and will be expected to complete assignments and projects between classes.
