World Mythology
Myths are the basis of our culture and of cultures all around the world. In this class we are going to go into a deep dive of myths - What are they? Why are they important? How do myths differ from epics? How are myths different in different areas - and why?
The current plan is to read myths and epics from different areas around the world, have discussions, complete activities, and learn a little bit of history and culture along the way.
We probably won't get through every continent and country (there are A LOT of myths and epics), but we will pick and choose together what we want to learn about - possibly even some cryptozoology.
Please note...this class is a full credit high school elective class - We don't meet at FACE often, so expect there to be homework assignments every week (reading, writing, group work, creative assignments, etc.).
P.S. With the amount of content there is that can be covered, this may end up being a multi-year class
