Flying Creatures

Take a soaring journey through the skies studying birds, bats and insects. We will learn about these fascinating creatures through books, short video clips, experiments, crafts, etc. Students will learn about nesting habits, flight patterns, classification and so much more. We will try to observe an ant farm, butterflies and ladybugs (if conditions are right). I would like to end the year visiting the Butterfly Pavilion (optional).

Student provided supplies: Colored pencils and/or washable markers, a glue stick and a pair of scissors. Optional- Flying Creatures of the Fifth Day book.
