Professional chefs don’t just follow recipes — they understand how food works.
In Flavor Lab: Think Like a Chef, students will learn how to approach cooking with awareness, flexibility, and confidence. Instead of simply moving step-by-step, we’ll practice tasting, adjusting, and making smart choices that improve flavor and solve problems in real time.
Students will develop skills such as:
building and balancing flavor
seasoning with purpose
fixing dishes that aren’t working
adapting when ingredients change
working efficiently as a kitchen team
This class transforms students from recipe followers into thoughtful, capable cooks who understand why something tastes good — and how to make it even better.

Pre-Requisites: Must be willing to participate and willing & able to follow all teacher given health, safety, and recipe instructions, use kitchen tools safely, and be willing to help clean any messes we make while cooking.
