Discovering Art & Science

In Discovering Art & Science, students will explore the exciting worlds of Life, Earth, and Physical Science while also developing creativity through art, music, literature, and art history. Students will learn about artists past and present, as well as elements of art such as color, shape, line, and texture.

Through hands-on projects, crafts, edible creations, experiments, and artistic activities, students will alternate between science and art in a fun and engaging learning environment that encourages creativity, curiosity, and imagination.

Supply Fee Covers: 

This class fee is collected at the beginning of each semester (September and January) and covers all regular class materials. Additional fees for special project materials may occasionally be collected prior to those projects.

Student provided supplies: The teacher will provide all regular class materials. A few special projects during the year may require specific supplies from home or an additional materials fee. Parents will be notified by email a couple of weeks in advance of any needed supplies or fees.

Pre-Requisites: Basic skills needed for their grade. Help will be provided with reading, writing & cutting skills but students will be asked to try.  This will help them practice each skill during class.
