Welcome to our beginning preschool class, where young learners build a strong foundation through a fun and engaging themed curriculum! Each week, students will explore a central theme that weaves together core subjects such as art, music, math, reading, writing, and language. This integrated approach promotes meaningful learning and keeps children excited and curious. Throughout the year, students will develop essential skills including:
- Shape, color, letter, number, name recognition, beginning phonics and letter sounds, early writing and cutting skills
- Fine and large motor development
- Listening, problem-solving, and direction-following
- Introduction to calendar concepts, including days of the week and months of the year
With over 17 years of teaching experience, I’ve found that a themed curriculum helps young children make connections across subjects, deepening their understanding and encouraging creativity. To support learning at home, weekly homework packets will be sent home. Students are encouraged to complete and return them for credit. After turning in three completed packets, students will earn a treasure box reward as positive reinforcement for their efforts! We’re excited to help your child grow and thrive through joyful, hands-on learning!
Prerequisites: Must be potty trained
