British Literature
Join us on a book club style class covering famous works of British Fiction. Be prepared to argue, discuss, take sides, and occasionally question your friends' judgement as we read the following works together:
The Knight's Tale from Chaucer's Canterbury Tales
Twelfth Night - William Shakespere
A Christmas Carol - Charles Dickens
Pride & Prejudice - Jane Austen
Hound of the Baskerville's - Sir Aurthur Conan Doyle
The Picture of Dorian Grey - Oscar Wilde
Animal Farm - George Orwell
Alice in Wonderland/Through the Looking Glass - Lewis Carroll
And then There Were None - Agatha Christie
Selections of British Poetry and short stories
A lot of the grade for this class will be based on class participation. Students must come prepared to discuss with the reading completed! The rest of the grade will be based on a few short essay responses as well as one project based on the book of their choosing to earn the complete credit for this class.
