Musical Theatre
Step into the exciting world of musical theatre during the 2026–2027 school year! In this class, students will explore the fundamentals of acting, singing, and dancing while learning how these elements come together to create a performance. Through fun activities, games, rehearsals, and performances, students will build confidence, creativity, teamwork, and stage presence. Students will learn basic vocal techniques, character development, choreography, and performance skills. They will learn that costumes and props are essential visual storytelling tools that define a play's world and enhance the overall mood. In the spring, students will showcase their talents in a musical theatre performance. We will discuss with the class which musical they would like to perform best from a few options. We also have a behind the scenes tour of the Denver Center for Performing Arts planned in March to see how a real theater runs. It's going to be such a fun year!
